Abstract
The study aimed to assess the Level of Preparedness for Community Integration Among Substance Use Disorder Residents of Selected Rehabilitation Centers in Cebu as Basis for Program Assessment. The target population of the study were twenty (20) residents from House of Hope, and thirty (30) residents from The Family and Recovery Management. The residents' demographic characteristics were obtained using a personal data sheet and the Community Integration Questionnaire-Revised was used to attain their level of preparedness for community integration.
The results of the study revealed that majority of the respondents were from the age group eighteen (18) to thirty-five (35), single, unemployed and are residents of the facility for ten (10) months and below. The findings also showed that majority of the respondents had moderate level of preparedness. Furthermore, the age (p<.05) and length of stay (p<0.001) of these residents are significantly correlated with the level of preparedness for community integration. On the other hand, a negative correlation exists between marital status and occupational status with regards to their level of preparedness for community integration. In addition, the specific programs that affected the residents' level of preparedness for community integration are the social rehabilitation and recreational activities.
Based on the results of the study, the variables that influenced the level of preparedness for community integration among substance use disorder residents are their age and length of stay. Moreover, the researchers recommended that the respondents could be given specific program assessments to further develop their ability to successfully reintegrate back to the community.
