Abstract

Primary aortoenteric fistula is a rare disease with a fatal outcome unless it is diagnosed accurately and treated surgically. We present a 55 year old male with primary aortosigmoid fistula who presented with gastrointestinal haemorrhage and diagnosed by CT scan. Left axillobifemoral, femoro-femoral bypass and abdominal aortic aneurysm and sigmoid colon resection were performed. The patient is now 3 months after the operation with good graft potency and no sign of graft infection.
