Peak performance development interventions on the improvement of work process of the Village Health Volunteers at Khaochamao District in Rayong Province Thailand.

Abstract

          The study was conducted to assess the effect of the interventions on the improvement of the Work Process of Village Health Volunteers (VHV) at Khaochamao District Rayong Province in Thailand. A pre-intervention assessment was conducted to the 45 volunteers. Peak Performance Development Intervention was designed by the researcher based on the pre-assessment results. A post intervention evaluation using the same standardized tool was administered to the same respondents.


          The results of the study showed that communication improved significantly from fair (2.083) to good (2.725) with a t-vlaue of 5.994 (p=0.00). The mean score on confidence increased from 2.575 to 2.864 where the ratings changed from fair to good. The mean difference od 0.289 is significantly with a t-value of 6.481 (p=0.00). The rating of competence changed from fair (2.353) to good (2.748) and the mean difference of 0.456 is significantly from fair (2.138) to good (2.748) and the mean difference of 0.456 is significant with a t-value of 4.01 (p=0.001). The working condition improved significantly from fair (2.138) to good (2.639) and the mean difference of 0.501 is significantly at t=6.11 (p=0.00). Communication is rated fair before and after intervention with a mean difference of 0.245 which is found out to be statistically significant at t-value of 4.600 (p=0.00).


          The study proved the success of the interventions since the Peak Performance Development Intervention was able to improve significantly the work process of the Village Health Volunteers at Khaochamao District Rayong Province in Thailand. Thus, the organization development interventions on commitment, confidence, competence, working condition successfully transformed the organization for an improvement perception on work process of the Village Health Volunteers at Khaochamao District in Rayong Province in Thailand.
