Abstract

Clearly it is important that in peripheral vascular diseases, the clinician play a significant role in critically evaluating the use of diagnostic procedures and therapies in its management and or prevention of morbid events. Rigorous review and analysis of available data documenting relative benefits and risks of those procedures and therapies, and most importantly the critical role of preoperative clinical evaluation, can produce helpful guide that improve the effectiveness of care, optimize parient outcomes, and impact the overall cost of care favorably by focusing resources on the most effective strategies.
