Abstract

Background ÃÆ'Æ'Æ’ÃÆ'†â€™ÃÆ'Æ'â€Ã...¡ÃÆ'‚¢ÃÆ'Æ'Æ’ÃÆ'¢â‚¬Ã...¡ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢â‚¬Ã...¡ÃÆ'‚¬ÃÆ'Æ'Æ’ÃÆ'¢â‚¬Ã...¡ÃÆ'Æ'¢ÃÆ'¢â€Ã...¡Ã‚¬ÃÆ'‚ Repair of the infrarenal aortic aneurysm may be associated with the complication of suture line hemorrhage. A method of repair using sutureless technique was developed previously by Ablaza et al. A modification of the device using plastic tightener is used in this study. An animal experimental study using seven adult goats was done. Mean abdominal aortic diameter was 4.43 mm. Mean application time proximally and distally was 8 minutes and 22 seconds, the longest graft application time was 15 minutes and the shortest was at 5 minutes . There was no graft thrombosis noted. Early histopathology report showed fibromyxoid change. (Author)

Objectives

To demonstrate the use of a ringed intraluminal vascular prosthesis using plastic tightener to anchor the prosthetic graft against the aorta.
