A report of a human case of Pentastomiasis caused by Armillifer moniliformis in a female patient is hereby presented. The author while at Taiwan in 1960 with the U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit, studied certain aspects of the biology of Kiricephalus pattoni (Stephens 1908). She concluded that the eggs of this parasite are resistant to common reagents; survived extreme temperatures for a week; failed to infect experimental hosts. However, when nymphs were fed to frogs and toads, infection took place. (Summary)
